Since you have a past history of having recurrent ring worm infections, you are suggested to take care of your hygiene, take regular bath at least two times a day. Wear cotton clothes. Wash your clothes, bed sheets and laundry daily with warm water and Savlon / Dettol.
Apply anti fungal cream (Miconazole (Cruex), clotrimazole (Desenex) in the affected area. Ring guard and Fourderm skin cream also are effective. Use antibacterial soap (neem soap). If sexually active, avoid sex for a couple of days. Get your partner treated as well. You can take a course of oral anti fungal medicine (Fluconazole).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
