Suggest Remedy For Redness In Skin After Getting Sun Burnt
Hello so I went to Mexico got very badly sun burned to the point of some blistering. That was approx. 1month ago my skin is still slightly light red and I now have tiny little red pin head in size dots that have appeared . Should I be concerned ? Pete
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have redness in skin after getting sun burnt which seems to be due to excessive exposure to sunlight which cause sun burn to your skin and make it extremely susceptible. I would suggest you wash affected area of skin with tea tree oil. Avoid going outside to prevent sun exposure. Use medicated sun screen TAN CARE with SPF 30. Apply Adapelene gel once at night. Exfoliate your skin once in a week to remove the dead skin. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition . Doctor may prescribe isoteritenoin , steroid ointment or antibiotics course. Take Multivitamin supplements.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
