Suggest Remedy For Relapse Of Acid Reflux After Discontinuing Omeprazole
I was dealing with acid reflux for a time and had been on scrip Ibuprofen for pain from Lymes. My Dr. put me on Omeprazole 25mg for 3 months. I was free of all symptoms right away...no raw esophagus, no hoarseness, and no reflux. Then within 2 days of being off the meds the reflux is back and seems worse than before. Does my body need to regulate, or do I go back in and see whats up?
Welcome at HCM i appreciate your health concerns As far as acid reflux is concerned, there is need to look for the cause. Hiatal hernia should always be excluded. What is your age? Do you smoke? Treatment with omeprazole is good option but you have to modify your lifestyle . you should consume small frequent meals and stay upright for about 20 mins after every meal. Avoid too much coffee and black pepper. You better see a Gastroentrologist for proper work up.. Hope it help Regards..
