General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

When one joins gym for weight loss...along with exercises diet must be followed strictly. Yes, it's advisable to check for diabetes, PCOS (USG test) and thyroid function test. Management of hormonal problem along with exercises and prescribed diet would help.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
