Suggest Remedy For Scar Discoloration

Hi, I am 5ft 5, 60kg weight And i had just one steroid injection after my scar was raised about 8 months ago. It is now flat but has lost some of its pigments. I was wandering what options are available to me to improve the appearance. I heard of v tar cream would increase the pigment but does it also add pigments to the surrounding area that does not require the extra pigment. Also, I was wandering where I could buy it from?

Hi,

Tar cream will not solve your problem of the scar loosing the pigment, as the tanning on the skin is temporary with this cream and is mostly washed away after 2-3 days of applying this cream on the skin. This temporary tanning will definitely be on the surrounding skin also. Also, local side effects of irritation, rash and itching etc. may be there with this cream, thus defeating its usefulness, if any.
