Had a mri for lower back pain. Showed that my left kidney needed to be removed. No other images were taken. In surgery found massive amounts of what doctor thought was cancer. Turned out not to be. Called a second surgeon in who to free up other organs removed my spline and half of my pancreas as well as kidney and an adrenal duct. As a result I m in constant sever pain abdominal and back pain It has been two years as of July29th What if any testing should I have done? I did have lower intestine looked at. Found a polyp removed. But don t know what routine or other images I should have done? I m a 57 year old female. Working hard to at least maintain my weight. I m 5 7 weight is now 115-117. Will this pain I m suffering go away with more time? Obviously can t afford to lose anymore pounds.
