General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Using inhalers containing corticosteroid and beta agonist will be helpful for you. If it is in acute attack period oral corticosteroid also will be needed. I would also suggest taking combination of antihistamine like levocetirizine and mast cell stabilzers like monteleukast as prophylactic from attack for long term. Avoid dusty environment. Keep the house and carpets clean by regular vacuuming. Also don't do vacuuming by yourself and avoid your presence till everything is finished. If you getting a severe attack not getting controlled by inhaler you should approach ER for intravenous corticosteroid. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
