Suggest Remedy For Severe Chest Pains After Injury

my daughter was at a gym today and did a flip off of a trampoline on to the mat below but landed on her back on the hard floor under the trampoline with her back half on the hard floor and her butt on the mats. It knocked the wind out of her and she hit her head on the way down. she is not complaining of a headache or dizziness or sleepiness. but she is complaining of severe chest pains ( right in the middle of her ribs in the front) and back and lower tailbone pain. she can wiggle all of her fingers and toes and she can walk but it hurts her to get up and down and any pressure hurts. should I take her to childrens or monitor her through the evening. I was scared to let her go to sleep. This happened about an hour and a half to two hours ago

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Though she can move all the fingers and can walk, since she is complaining of pain in the chest and back you are suggested to get her clinically examined by an orthopedics. This is to stay on the safer side. If needed she will referred to a cardiologist.

Get blood workouts, urinalysis, imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI) tests done to detect any fracture or any other pathology. Get her treated at the earliest. Her treatment will depend on the symptoms and pathology detected. Neglect may result in the worsening of the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
