Suggest Remedy For Severe Headache Upon Waking With History Of Lung Cancer

My friend had apneumonectomy a year ago May due to cancer in the right lung. He underwent 3 rounds of chemo that seems to have left him with more complications than just the removal of the lung. My question is: lately when he wakes up it is due to lack of air and he will have a terrible headache for a few hours. He still takes oxycodone a couple times daily. Would he benefit sleeping with oxygen through the night?
