Hello, My NS says I would need surgery for Spondylolysis bilateral pars defects are present with 7-8 mm spondylolisthesis. Compounding mild disc height reduction and 3mm lateralizing disc protrusion results in moderate L5 foraminal narrowing with ample potential for symptomatic impingement upon the exiting left and right L5 nerve roots. These were the results from an MRI I had almost a year ago. I had hurt myself 2 months prior. I had PT, Chiro, Nerve Root Injections, and Accupunture all helped a little but still in a lot of pain. I am on heavy doses of pain medication 3 times a day and 800 mg of ibuprofen. I am waiting to have a second opinion but the pain is so severe in back and hips and legs.
