Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm having pain in my upper left side of my mouth. And also the side of my neck. it feels like something connected to my throat and mouth hurts. Closing my mouth feels uncomfortable. i don't understand why. it started hurting around 1:00 today. What can it be?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain pain in upper side of mouth along with pain in side of neck and discomfort in closing the mouth all seems to be interconnected and can be due to TMJ problem or other causes like decayed teeth or nerve trauma.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x-ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly.. As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxasone.. Take soft diet and maintain a good oral hygiene..
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora
