Hi. My girlfriend and I went to spring river and spent the day canoeing in the sun. After leaving the water we realized we were burnt and it got much more severe. We have sit at home unclothed for three days and used lots of aloe veer took lukewarm oatmeal baths and drank juice and water and applied apple cider vinegar and also taken ibuprofen for low grade fever. It hurts so bad to stand up or walk like the skin is tearing open from inside out and there is some swelling. ???
I understand your concern. According to your history that you were canoeing in the sun for whole day and now you both are burnt. The most probable reason for this is photosensitivity. But the possibility of any other allergic reaction cannot be ruled out as you were all day in spring water which may have many other organisms. You have already used many home-based remedies for almost 3 days. My advice is you visit dermatologist get your examination done, accordingly a specific therapy can be initiated. You may need a steroid ointment and antibiotic but that should be only under physicians advice. Meanwhile you can take Tab Levocetrizine+Montelukast combination twice daily , tab Aceclofenac twice daily and tab Famotidine twice daily for 5 days.
