Suggest Remedy For Sharp Pain Beneath The Collar Bone

I just drank 3 sodas in less than 8hrs, i usually drink a lot of water while I m working(janitorial work), and now all the sudden I started to feel sharp pain just beneath my collarbone in the middle of my chest, and it feels heavy to breath, more when I bend down. This also has also happened about two other times and also it was after I drank soda. So my question is, why is this happening? Is it the soda?

Hi,

If on left side of chest, this might be from over distension of stomach from sudden release of gas. Try drinking in small sips rather than all of a sudden. To relieve present discomfort, take a paracetamol tablet and an antacid. If not getting down, we can evaluate further

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
