General & Family Physician, Dr. Lavanya C's Response
Hi there, it is difficult to come to a definite diagnosis but back aches are more probably due to muscle spasms and yours could be that. Most of the times such spasms occur due to abrupt or even postures or unusual exertion. I would suggest you to take bed rest straight for 4 hours and then scale your pain on 1/10. If the pain is no less and if you find pain extending into the thigh, then you are supposed to visit a doctor for proper assessment and treatment. I would suggest you to take particular care regarding the footwear, amount of rest you take and your postures. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
