hi, three days ago I went up to the hospital because I had a rash on my back that was very painful. they said it was shingles and put me on a few different medications. since then it s gotten worse and spread down my back and under my breasts. is this normal?
As you said you suffer from shingle. Kindly consult dermatologist for the firm diagnosis. Shingle also called herpes zoster..caused by VZV virus. There may be multiple vesicular lesions in clusters in zonal fashion. There may be mild to severe burning sensation.
I would suggest...
- antiviral like acyclovir 800 mg 5 times a day for few weeks - steroids in tappering dose to prevent post hermetic neuralgia - pain killer - antibiotics - local application of diver sulfadiazin cream
Take bed rest for few days...take regular treatment.
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
