My 11-year-old son is very small for his age and has been for a number of years. His bone age test results have consistently been 2 to 2 1/2 years below his chronological age. We ve had no explanation for his short stature, but during recent lab work and ultrasound it was found he has a slightly enlarged liver, elevated liver enzymes (though not severely), and elevated sed rate which he always seems to have. We can t seem to figure out what might be going on and what to do.
