Suggest Remedy For Shoulder Pain

I have a dull aching pain in my right shoulder blade and kind of up into my neck on the right side. I thought it was due to pressure from me sleeping on my right side and being pregnant, I notice I feel the ache more when I use my right arm/hand to do things because I m right handed. What could be causing this? It has been going on for a few weeks now and if I massage that area it feels better for awhile and than starts again.

Hi,

Your pain appears to arise more from the shoulder rather then from your cervical spine, though both usually have overlapping clinical picture. Cervical pain occurs more after work while pain arising from shoulder pathologies is more in the night. You need to have a thorough clinical examination along with X-rays of both shoulder and cervical spine and if required, MRI also. In the meantime, do warm saline fomentation, avoid strenuous activities and bad posture.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
