Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had mild left shoulder pain for 6 days. three days ago ran 6 miles, had shoulder pain but subsided when soaked in hot tub with Epsom salts. 24 hours ago, ran 5 miles and shoulder pain was excruciating; pain went up the trapezius, then worsened, went up to neck, until pain was so bad I started to hyperventilate. nerve problem?-bursitis? tendonitis?
* The mode of origin of shoulder pain can give a specific clue to underlying issue as bursa problem, rotator cuff injury, nerve compression or else.
* Though primary relief with heating pad application and analgesic medications, it is mandatory to get a physical evaluation with your doc for evaluation the motor, sensory function with a range of movement evaluation to look into the cause and further care plan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
