Suggest Remedy For Skin Discoloration Around The Mouth
hi there,
my 9 months old baby had some rashes around her neck and mouth area. when consulted to a doctor he said its a kind of fungal infection and prescribed four derm cream.. i applied it on the affected area. it did work but i noticed a loss of pigmentation around her mouth region.. i stopped using that cream.. now how to treat that discoloration on her face??

Understanding your concern. As per your query skin discoloration around mouth after application of derm cream which could be due to allergic reaction. It varies from person to person sensitivity. Need not to worry about it, I would suggest you to use a broad spectrum antifungal and sunscreen, regularly, throughout the day. You have to apply Vitamin C and vitamin A in capsule form which you have to break open and apply once daily. You may also use a cream containing one or more of the pigment reducing agents like kojic acid, hydroquinone, glycolic acid. You should visit pediatrician and get it examined once to change the medication course and find alternative medication for fungal infection. Maintain hydration of your child. Keep area lubricated to prevent from cracking.
