Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Two days ago I noticed this small round bruise with a white center in my hand. It is not at all painful. What could this be. I have been on Parkinsons s meds for the past 19 yrs. Could the long- term use of melds have something to do with my bruises?
The medications used to treat Parkinson does not cause bruises as a side effect. So,in my opinion, the bruise is not related to the medications.
It can be related to a microtrauma that you did not noticed. I suggest to sue cold compresses for local application. I also suggest to use a vitamin K cream.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
