Suggest Remedy For Sore And Painful Throat While Swallowing Due To Viral Infection

I have a sore throat and have seen a doctor who said it was viral and couldnt be treated the problem is i can hardly swallow and its getting worse i had a tonsilectomy when i was younger so i know its not tonsilitis but it hurts more when i sit down what do you suggest?? Thank u

Sore throat mainly due to if u had excessive cold items such drink ,ice cream etc so you require luekwarm saline gargle or disprine gargle thrice a day and use honey with exctract of gingar twice a day.
