General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

This kind of pain could be due to muscular pain due to sudden grabbing of the chest by arms as you said.

But no need to worry as it has nothing to do with lung collapse.

You can take X-ray of the chest to rule out any fracture of ribs although it would be rare.

You should analgesics like diclofenac available over the counter and topical analgesic gel over the area of pain.

You will feel better by 3 to 4 days til there you should take rest or avoid any strenuous activities.

Consult Ortho pedician for further advice.

Regards,
I find this answer helpful
