Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat And Extreme Pain While Swallowing

Hello. I have a very very sore throat. It hurts to even swallow saliva. It is painful to my ears down underneath my chin. I had a fever of 103.7 earlier. I have been alternating tylonal and Motrin. Mostly right now it's my throat that is really bothering me scale 1-10, 10 being worse it's about a 8.5-9

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain severe pain in throat along with difficulty in swallowing seems to be due to throat infection and is commonly due to infection in throat that can be due to bacterial or Viral infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do clinical examination and also advise you to get a throat swab culture done to rule the exact cause of infection..
In case of Bacterial infection antibiotics like Levofloxacin or Azithromycin can be advised..
Anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be advised..
If pain is severe alternate Ibuprofen with Tramadol..
Warm saline gargles and sucking throat lozenges can help..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Chew Vitamin C pellet..
In case of Viral infection antibiotics will not be needed and rest treatment can be advised to relieve symptoms..
