Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat
Hi There, I am concerned about my cough. I can taste blood, a copper like taste in my mouth if I cough deeply. It isn t a severe cough and I haven t had it for long. Its starts as a little tickle irration. I am 30 weeks pregnant and started smoking when I was 14 and smoked for 15 years, I am now 30 yrs old and pretty healthy, but... I am worried I have lung cancer because I can taste blood in my mouth but I am not spitting it up. Please any advice would be much appreciated. I have been a non smoker now for 2 years.????

Noted a history about a 30 year old lady having 30 weeks of pregnancy, taste of blood and copper like taste in mouth on coughing deep, smoked for 15 years but stopped now for 2 years, worried about lung cancer.
This is most probably due to the following reasons:
Pregnancy causes natural response in the whole body wherein the circulation increases, the blood vessels of the mucosa are prominent and thus a forceful coughing, nasal blowing can cause blood to appear.
I can understand your point and worry about cancer as you were smoker.
X-ray of chest with a shield for baby can help a proper diagnosis.
Consult your ENT Surgeon for proper evaluation and have proper investigations and management after consulting your Obstetrician for choice of baby-safe medicines.
