Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat

I had an abscessed tooth and the dentist gave me a perscription for amoxicillin now I seem to be having a really sore throat...looks like strept the amoxicillin seemed to help my toothache but not doing anything for my throat...can the sore throat be from the abscessed tooth?

Hi,
Sore throat may be due to the tooth abcess.
Better to go for throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity and antiseptic mouth wash.
