Suggest Remedy For Soreness In The Lower Legs

My son is 11 years old and just started playing football and complains sometimes of sore lower legs. What do growing pains feel like? I massage them and have done Bowen therapy on him which has really helped. He is very tall with long bones and very slim.

Hello,

Characters of Growing pain in children are-
Nature of pain Intermittent, some pain-free days and nights
Both legs pain
Location of pain- Anterior thigh, calf, posterior knee—in muscles
Onset of pain Late afternoon or evening
No Swelling, redness , tenderness

If there is any visible abnormality, stiffness of joint, swelling, redness
and if the pain awakens the child at night and is persistent.. other cause should be looked for.

For convenience, get a pediatrician consultation, and you can relax if its growing pain.
