Suggest Remedy For Squishy Sound In Ear After Trying To Remove Ear Wax
I have a squishy sound in my ear after attempting to remove ear wax. I ve tried hydrogen peroxide and water. Solution from an ear wax kit I bought. Ear vacuum. Hair dryer. Nothing seems to work. Someone on line suggested a couple of drops of iso propyl alcohol. Can you give me a solution or will time just take care of it.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Squishy sounds in ear after cleaning ear wax is probably due to pressure being transmitted to middle ear and inner ear. Sometimes, when there is excessive wax deposition in the auditory ear canal, the pressure due to excessive wax can also get transmitted to middle and inner ear. In case there is deposition of excessive wax in ear canal, the excessive wax has to be removed by syringing. Do not attempt home remedies. They can cause damage to inner ear structures. Thus, consult your ENT specialist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
