Suggest Remedy For Staph Infection Of Belly Button Piercing.

I had my belly button pierced and took it out 5 years ago. Didn't have any problems with it till a month ago dr said it was a staph infection. Gave me an onitment went away. Now its back. I still have the stuff should I just use that or should I go back in to get it tested again?

Welcome to HCM.

I suggest you get a swab from the belly button tested for culture and sensitivity which will determine help your GP prescribe correct antibiotics. You will also come to know if staphylococcus causing infection has become resistant or not. I suggest you get a prescription for appropriate antibiotics based on the test results and keep the infected area clean.
