Suggest Remedy For Stiff, Bruised And Painful Fingers
I punched the wall yesterday out of anger and my left hand middle/index knuckle got really swollen, puffy, tender and red. It hurt to bend the finger back and I could def feel the pain all day but then today it was fine, It just feels stiff and bruised, still hurts bend to my finger though.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain pain, swelling and puffiness along with redness seems to be due to traumatic injury and there is a possibility that there is bony fracture secondary to injury.. You should consult an Orthopedician and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and advise x ray to confirm.. In case if there is bony fracture reduction and fixation can be done.. In case if there is only soft tissue injury doing cold compresses, application of a analgesic ointment like Diclofenac, taking painkillers like Ibuprofen and application of Heparin gel to fade bruising can help..
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora
