Suggest Remedy For Superficial Blood Clots On Leg Due To Birth Control

Hi, I am 19 and currently have superficial blood clots in my legs caused from birth control. My doctor took my off and told me to hydrate and no caffeine. Is there anything else I can do to help my legs? They are very painful. Also, will tanning effect them in any way?
