Suggest Remedy For Swelling And A Lump At The Site Of Ear Piercing
My granddaughter had her ears pierced in June all was fine. She recently wore silver earrings and one the back got pulled off, ear is crusty and swollen. Earrings are out now and still feel a ball where her ear piecing was. Afraid and she is afraid it will hurt putting the original earrings in, only out 3 days, seems alittle closed up to me

As per your query you have swelling and a lump at the site of ear piercing. There can be many reason for this, It could be improperly sterilized instruments, infection at ear site, excessive or massive us-usage of instruments . There can be other reasons also like irritation of skin . Normal piercing take 4-6 week for healing , Sometimes cartilage piercing take little longer time . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper checkup and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for at-least a week . Do not wear anything in ear till they heal properly. But you should wear a ring in ear so that holes do not gets closed. Apply topical painkiller and antimicrobial gel on ear lobules to fasten healing
