Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Clot After Thrombosed Hemorrhoids

I had a thrombosed hemorrhoid laced by the ER doc 5 days ago. The bleeding had stopped and the swelling was going down. Today another small blood clot came out. It is swollen again. I think there might be another clot inside the hemorrhoid. Will it come out on its own? I am afraid that the incision will heal with the clot inside and it will be painful again.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Do not panic. The area might be still sensitive for many reasons. My advice is to wait little more. The treatment by thrombosing the hemorroids means creating clots out of the blood that circulates on them. Five days after observing a clot is not uncommon.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Jora Xhaxho, General & Family Physician
