Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Pressure On Foot Post Fibroma Removal
I had a fibroma removed from the bottom of my foot(egg sized) on feb 18. the only real pain I had post surgery was from the compression dressing that caused pain on the top of my foot. my toes are numb on the tops and when you touch the top of my foot it causes tingling in my toes. when i stand on my foot it turns dusky and swells. the incision itself looks good except for a hardness along the incision line. I had an ultrasound last week to ck for a blood clot but it was negative. I have been unable to go back to work due to the swelling and pressure on my foot. I am on my feet for 12 hr shifts
Hi, I understand your concern. I would like to tell you, that in a post surgical wound, it s common to get a swelling. And a negative clot diagnosis is even better. As far as tingling and numbness is concerned, it can be due to pressure on the nerves of the fot being compressed due to swelling. The swelling takes some time to get resolved. You should visit your surgeon so that he can examine the wound status and healing. Resuming work, looking at the description you have suggested, I don't think you will be going to work by next week. Hope this helps. Regards
