Suggest Remedy For Swelling At The Site Of Tick Bite On The Scrotum
My husband removed a tick from his scrotum (it had embedded pretty deeply, about half its body was in the skin), we think it had possibly been there for about a week. Now a week later the bite mark is red and swelling. The skin is def inflamed but also feels like there is something hard under it, about the size of a grape. HE says it itches alot but there is no pain . After inspecting the area myself, I am concerned at the amount of swelling.

The swelling at the site of the tick bite on scrotum at the period of 7 days is matter of concern. As the amount of swelling is significant, there can be possible issue of cellulitis stage with induration and thickening of underlying coverings of testicle. Guidelines for better recovery:
- Keep the area clean with antiseptic liquid or soap
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears and avoid tight under garments, jeans
- Control of blood sugar
- Prescription of antibiotics as Penicillin, Cephalosporin or others, anti-inflammatory medications as Diclofenac, Ibuprofen with serratiopeptidase as an enzymatic agent
