Suggest Remedy For Swelling On Lower Lip And Chim

I woke up this morning and my lower lip and chin felt odd, ten minutes later when looking in the mirror, I could see swelling beginning. Then when speaking, I had a scratchy laryngitis voice, but it had been okay ten minutes before. The swelling went down after a few hours, and my voice improved, but there is still tightness in my throat and I have a lot of phlegm in the back of my throat and it's annoying when I swallow. What could be causing this?

As per your complain sudden occurrence of swelling of the lower lip and chin along with scratchy voice and tightness in throat in an indication of allergic reaction..

You seems to have exposed to some unknown allergen that can be any insect/bug or spider bite, any food or medication, pollen, animal danders, trees, grasses, mites etc..

As the allergen entered your body there has been an allergic reaction and you experienced the symptoms..

As the symptoms have improved it is a good sign but in case if you experience recurring symptoms consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like RAST test.Patch test, etc can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly..

You can be given oral anti allergics, steroid shot for severe symptoms and also steroid inhalers if there is breathlessness or choking..

An Immunotherapy can be instilled to reduce the severity of allergic attack..
