Suggest Remedy For Swollen Area Between Ankle And Shin With Burning Sensation Post A Hit
A shelf slid out of the trunk hitting my leg between the ankle and shin. I iced and elevated it for 3 hours only getting up to use the restroom and get something from the kitchen. After the 3 hours I stood for 15-20 minutes getting ready for bed. I put some aspercreme on it avoiding the area where the skin was broken and went to bed. I stood up to put a fan on and it hurt so I looked down and it had swollen to the size of a tennis ball.I elevated it all night and iced it a few times. The swelling has gone down a lot, though still very swollen, but it burns when I stand. Should I be concerned enough to go to immediate care?
Hello madam/sir, welcome to medical care magic.Go for x-ray to rule out bone fracture. If it comes out normal nothing to worry. Just relax and continue whatever remedies you are doing. Take some analgesic (pain reliever) tablet. Any further doubts you are always welcome. Take care. Good health
