Suggest Remedy For Swollen Face And Lymph Nodes Post A Bee Sting
Was stung by bee on forehead on Wednesday. Sting site is swollen along with the right side of face which is the side I was stung. Lymph node by right ear is swollen and feels like something is in the swollen skin of sting site. Today is Saturday and face is still swollen
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that there have been a severe allergic reaction to the bee sting toxin that it releases under skin of the victim.. Feeling of something present withing the swollen area can be bee stinger that has remained embeded within the skin and it can further add up to inflammation and swelling.. I would suggest you to take anti-allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine.. Do cool compresses over the sting site, swollen ace and lymph nodes.. Take Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Aleve or Advil to relieve pain.. As the swelling will start subsiding take a close look at the sting site and if the stinger is embedded remove it gently.. In case if you are unable to remove it and swelling does not subside consult an Allergist or General Physician and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
