As per your complain in case if you are diagnosed with having dry socket that is an unhealed socket caused due to loss of blood clot/healing tissue from the extraction socket and it ceases the healing process causing inflamed socket walls and severe pain.. If it is not treated there can be swelling on cheeks and can become severely painful and can also cause cellulitis and facial space infections.. You should therefore consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and he can do a proper clinical examination and also do an x ray to check for any leftout root pieces inside the sockets so that if there are any remnants then they can be removed.. In case of dry socket you can be given Zinc oxide eugenol dressing inside the socket that can be changed every alternate day till the healing is appropriate along with a course of antibiotics and painkillers for relief..
