Hi, I am Dr.Shreyash Mehta, MD community medicine

My answer shall help you solve your query

It might have happened due to physical trauma caused due chewing of the chewing gum or it may be due to poor intake of vitamin B complex and folic acid.

I advise you to have soft easy chewable food like porridge/broth.

I advice you to take tab. diclofenac sodium 50 mg/ tab. paracetamol 500 mg to decrease swelling (if you are not having allergy to diclofenac sodium).

This will also allow you to be able to eat something and would decrease pain

brush you teeth 3 times i.e. after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Add a tinge of metronidazole gel to the tooth paste to decrease the growth of anaerobic bacterias in your mouth and help the erosion in the mouth heal faster.

gargle every time after you have food/ beverage

take 1 multivitamin and folic acid tablet at night.
