Suggest Remedy For Swollen Lumps In Labia Majora

Hi, about a week ago I noticed that my left labia majora was a bit swollen at the bottom and it felt like there was a lump underneath, about the size of a peanut. I was also having thin, bright green discharge which has never happened before. Throughout the week, the peanut-sized nodule slightly went away, and the discharge has decreased, but now there are multiple bumps, and my left labia majora is swollen, red, and stiff. Also, I noticed a small bump on my right labia majora this evening. I have never had sex so I know it is not an STD, and I have shaved the area before and never had an ingrown hair or anything, and it has never hurt this bad or been this uncomfortable. Please help!

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

The swollen lumps in labia majora can be soft tissue swellings due to infected follicles or Bartholin's cyst or just a harmless lipoma. This needs a direct examination to find out the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
