Suggest Remedy For Swollen Thyroid
My thyroid was slightly swollen on the right side for about a year then seemed to quickly get larger about 6mos ago. At the same time, right tonsil became swollen and misshapen and is still swollen 6mos later. The ENT did ultrasound but found the nodule in tonsil is too small for FNA. They can t see the part of my tonsil that is extending down into my throat because my gag reflex has gotten really bad so they just see the moderately swollen tonsil. I also feel that the glands on right side are slightly swollen (compared to left) but they don t agree. I have a lot of fullness in my throat and it is uncomfortable and I get a choking sensation when I turn my head or move my clavicle. Should I pursue this or let it go?

Unilateral tonsillar enlargement is considered to be an important clinical situation. It should never be taken lightly. A detailed ultrasound examination with assessment of lymph nodes should be done.
Even if it's small or if fnac could not be done, you can always go for excision biopsy. I think this is important since you told that the size has increased in the last 6 months.
A histopathological examination of biposy specimen is the final answer to your question!
