Suggest Remedy For Swollen Vein In The Thumb Joint

Hi I just recently got my cast off my thumb as I tore a ligament in the palm side in my joint. But my thumb still is painful and I can t put it under my other four fingers to make a fist or anything. Also my joint is very sensitive and it has a swollen vein on my thumb joint. Any ideas?

Hi,Welcome to HCM.
Based on the facts of your query,You seem to have,the swollen vein,which seems to be either from traumatic thrombophlebitis or from the post-traumatic cast which obstruted the vein flow till now.
Treatment-
Rest and Elevation of the afftected thumb
Hot fomentation
Proper Physiotherapy
Tab Motrin/ and Chymotrypsin would help reduce the congested veins of the thumb joint.
