hi! I have a tear in a vein in the front of my lower leg. I tangled with wire and landed on the right side of my right knee area on a concrete berm. I was then treated for cellulitis and am having to wear a compression sock and use steroid cream when not wearing the sock. The area near my knee is still numb (6 mos later) and I still have some swelling. I am to wear the sock until my next appointment in December, but am wondering if I should make an additional appointment sooner due to the numbness?
Due to trauma sub cutaneous nerves get damaged which may be the cause of numbness.Recovery usually take place within a period of three months by nerve regeneration. After that chances of recovering from numbness are remote. However, swelling is likely to disappear.
