my doctor has giving me a weeks worth of antibiotics for Epididymitis but my right testicle seems to stick out of my scrotum compared to the left testicle when the testicles have retracted, is this because of Epididymitis as recently my right testicle twisted and then corected itself and the doctor ruled out torsion as i didnt sufer any severe pain, any advice would be apreciated
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of under treatment for epididymitis, it is just one week; it takes weeks for the cure. Another point raised by you is about the appearance of the right testicle standing out/ sticking out as compared to the left one. This indicates that the right epididymis is more swollen and hence pushing out the right testis. Well, all these points including the torsion can be proved by: - Ultrasonography and color doppler - Clinical examination by a General Surgeon or Urologist. Take a full course of medicines till you are cured before this becomes chronic.
