Hi,

1. The symptoms associated with you direct towards dysphagia which is commonest in general practice, thus check with an ENT Surgeon with the following:
- Acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis or laryngitis
PS. Inspect the throat with using a good torch and tongue depressor. If the throat is not congested, think of true dysphagia.
2. If pain and dysphagia doesn't subside within a week, refer for oseophagoscopy and barium swallow
3. As dysphagia is for solid and not liquid, could be obstructive dysphagia, go for urgent barium swallow, indirect laryngioscopy and oesophagoscopy

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
