Suggest Remedy For Throbbing Facial Pain After Accidental Removal Of Stitches In Mouth
I had my wisdom teeth cut out 2 weeks ago and took the antibiotics they gave me. While I was still numb, I accidentally pulled the stitches out of one of the incisions. I still can't feel half of my face and the other half is throbbing pain. I have noticed some puss coming out of the incision that the stitch came out of. What should I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain first thing that I would like to tell you is that numbness due to anaesthesia injection will subside in an hour or 2 hours after injection and as it is still lasting there is a possibility that there is nerve damage during injection or extraction and it needs to be evaluated by a Neurophysician and treatment can be advised accordingly..
In case if there is pus discharge from extraction site it is an indication of infection and you should consult your dentist and get evaluated and he can look for the cause of infection.. He can also take an x ray to check for any left out root pieces that are flaring up and causing infection.. In case if there is any left over root pieces removal of same followed by antibiotics and painkillers can help..
Hope this information helps..
