Hi, I am experiencing right side facial pain and throat pain( near the tonsil area). The pain started with a mild fever and common cold about 10 days ago.At the onset of fever, jaw pain started and then facial pain. I took amoxyllin and paracetamol. the facial pain eased up a bit but for the last 6 days, I have been seen blood in my nose and cough. please advice asap
Facial pain can occur with sinus congestion and inflammation. The blood in the nose is also due to inflammation of the nasal passages with can occur in viral or bacterial infection.
The use of a decongestant (topical and oral) would help with the facial pain, this can be combined with an oral anti histamine. These medications would be found over the counter.
The full course of antibiotics would have helped if the symptoms were related to bacterial infection as well.
I hope this helps
