Suggest Remedy For Throbbing Pain In Arm At The Site Of Bite From Horsefly
I went on the river today kayaking. There were spiders on my boat at one point and I got bit by a bunch of horseflies, however none of my bites from the horseflies reacted like the one on my arm. I don t know what it could be and it has a throbbing pain.
I am sorry for the situation you are going through.
A photo of the bite site is needed for a more specific opinion.
As you feel a throbbing pain at the site of biting, I think it has got infected. Most probably the horseflies might have carried parasites or bacteria that most probably have been transmitted into your skin.
I advise to: - keep the wound (biting site) clean - apply warm compresses to relieve the pain - if there are signs of infection (extremely pain or drainage) seek immediate medical help (go to ER). - take antihistaminic medication orally and can apply locally
Hope it was of help! Dr.Albana
