My 3 year old had his tonsils and adenoids removed on June the 12th, was rushed back into hospital in the early hours of June 18th. He had to have second surgery to stop a bleed. He is now home again and is complaining of pain in his teeth.

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain at times pin in teeth can be due to radiating pain from the throat at the site of tonsil removal and will subside once the healing proceed..
But in case if he has infection in his tooth and you are already taking painkillers then it should get relieved by it only and in case of tooth infection you should consult a Paediatric dentist and get evaluated and should also get advised with antibiotics for relief of infection..

As the infection gets subsided the pain will also get relieved and once the surgical site will heal you should get the treatment of the infected tooth done..

As of now to relieve his pain, you should consult his treating surgeon or Paediatrician and get evaluated so that h can assess the doses of painkillers that he is taking and can treat him accordingly..
As time painkiller suppositories can also be advised.

Hope this helps..

Thanks and regards..
