Hi,
Medications and lifestyle modifications. Based on the history you seem to be suffering from
urge incontinence or
overactive bladder while having Parkinson's disease however the possibilities of other causes such as
urinary tract infection must be ruled out. Since you do not seem to have prostate problem I suggest you anti-cholinergics such as benztropine (which is effective in Parkinson's disease as well), or oxybutynin or tolterodine.
Besides, I also recommend the following lifestyle changes which may be effective in preventing urinary incontinence:
1.
Pelvic floor (Kegel) exercises: By strengthening of pelvic floor muscles provides support around the urethra which can blockbladder contractions.
2.
Weight loss if you are overweight
3. Avoid smoking, alcohol, caffeine and carbonated beverages
4. Avoid excessive fluid intake but avoid dehydration
5. Reduce night time fluid intake if you get increased frequency during night.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
